The heaviest hitters in French electronic music since Daft Punk. A chit-chat with Justice about a dazzling career.

Indisputably the heaviest hitters in French electronic music since _(artist-name)Daft Punk_, production duo Xavier de Rosnay and Gaspar Augé aka _(artist-name)Justice_ have helmed the rise of the Ed Banger branded flavour of more-is-more electronic music ever since their remix for _(artist-name)Simian Mobile Disco_’s _(song-title)We Are Your Friends_ (originally released in 2003) found its way onto every indie-disco dancefloor around the globe. After handling remix duties for the likes of Daft Punk, _(artist-name)N*E*R*D_, _(artist-name)Franz Ferdinand_, _(artist-name)Soulwax_ and even Britney, Justice released their highly anticipated debut album _(album-title)†_ in 2007, making even more waves with the stark, controversial videos that came with it. In the following years, they went stadium-sized (Grammy Award included), capturing the surreal experience of this period in their half doc-, half mockumentary _(album-title)A Cross The Universe_. With their sophomore album _(album-title)Audio, Video, Disco_, they took to progressive rock leanings to move beyond the buzz surrounding what became known as nu-rave, again bringing previously unseen strains of rockism into electronic music.
