Hailing from Harlem via Sierra Leone, where he was raised between Q’ran school and listening to _(artist-name)Goodie Mob_ or _(artist-name)Organized Konfusion_, the Dutty Artz cohort has come a long way, and his journey clearly left an indelible mark on his person and the music he puts out. His releases on Dutty Artz and Sticks N Stones still display a knack for african rhythms, but are eventually far more reminiscent of traversing the European techno and bass music hotbeds. Teaming up with like-minded artists like _(artist-name)DJ/ rupture_, _(artist-name)Spoek Mathambo_ and _(artist-name)Chief Boima_, Lamin’s trademark sound is dark yet always vibrant and speckled with tropical leanings and massive synth lines.
