_(artist-name)Sofrito_ is an international collective of DJs, producers and musicians based in East London, headed by Hugo Mendez, Frankie Francis ‘El Diablo’ and the Mighty Crime Minister. They are responsible for throwing some seriously legendary warehouse parties in East London in the past few years, playing the heaviest in afro, latin and tropical sounds new and old whilst releasing music on the Sofrito Specials label. A while ago Strut Records asked them to put together a compilation on the sound of the current tropical revolution.
